Frei picks up pair of Marquette Minors Little League wins

TriMedia thumped Beauchamp Plumbing and Heating, 17-7, on July 1, behind a triple and two singles by Andrew Fedrizzi.

Teammate Cooper Myers added an inside-the-park home run and a single; Brock Taylor chipped in a double and a single; and Cole Brownell two singles.

Myers and Sam Bartlett combined for the mound win.

Chaz Hill and Owen Beauchamp collected two hits apiece for the losers.

Northern Michigan Bank and Trust edged Marquette Rotary, 8-7, as Luke Kostreva and Connor Steer produced two hits each.

Eddie Sloan rapped out two hits for Rotary.

On July 2, Frei Chevrolet downed Cooper Office Equipment, 5-1, with Kameron Karp hitting an inside-the-park home run and Skylar Robertson picking up the mound triumph.

For Cooper Office Equipment, Jordan DeMay smacked an inside-the-park homer.

On June 27, Frei Chevrolet edged Northern Michigan Bank and Trust, 3-2

Ty Lotterman, Lincoln Sager and Karp combined for the win on the mound for Frei; Braden Wright and Carsen Hayes picked up hits for Northern Michigan Bank and Trust, and Wright and Erik Johnson were the pitchers.

Northern Michigan Bank and Trust bounced back with a 15-5 win over Beauchamp Plumbing and Heating on June 24 as Hayes collected three hits and Wright two for the winners. Kostreva and Johnson also pitched for Northern Michigan Bank and Trust.

For Beauchamp, Austin Ridl, Chase Sager and Hill collected hits.

Frei got another win when it defeated TriMedia, 7-3, on June 25 as Karp, Sager and Robertson were the winners’ pitchers. They got offensive help from Lotterman, who had two hits.

Duncan Hogan, Fedrizzi, Brownell and Garrett Frayer had TriMedia hits as teammates Bartlett and Myers worked on the mound.

TriMedia turned things around with a 5-1 victory over Marquette Rotary on June 27. The winners’ got an inside-the-park homer from Fedrizzi and a key hit from Myers, while Fedrizzi was also winning pitcher.

Cooper Office Equipment downed Beauchamp, 13-8, on June 26. Aaron Grzelak cracked a pair of triples, Luke Lahtinen a double and single, and Owen Riipi and Derek Pedersen each had two singles in the win.

Hill and Beauchamp teammate Noah Beauchamp picked up hits as Ridl, Sager and Ethan Richards pitched.
