Library to screen ‘Late Quartet’
MARQUETTE – Summer Cinema will screen “A Late Quartet” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Walken and Catherine Keener, the film follows members of a world-renowned string quartet who struggle to stay together in the face of death, competing egos and infidelity.
This 2012 Toronto Film Festival premiere features a soundtrack of music by Beethoven, Hayden and Bach, is rated R and runs for 105 minutes.
Attendees may bring a takeout supper and enjoy this recently released feature film in a dinner theater setting.

Wolf protection rally in Marquette
MARQUETTE – A Keep Michigan Wolves Protected kick-off event will begin at 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Ramada Inn of Marquette. Keep Michigan Wolves Protected is rallying around the state to launch the second referendum campaign to overturn PA 21. PA 21 (previously SB 288).
