Cyber security workshop offered at Northern
MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University is hosting a workshop on cyber security for high school students and high school technology teachers.
The workshop, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 29 through Aug. 2, will teach basic skills needed to defend against cyber attacks, hacking, identity theft and digital crimes.
Specifically, the workshop will include information about different types of attacks, hands-on router configuration, modern forensics, ethical issues and basic programming, cryptography and networking. Students will be given information about this field as a career option.
