Frank J. L’Huillier
MARQUETTE, MI. – Frank J. L’Huillier, 75, of Marquette, died Wednesday morning, June 19, 2013 at his home in the presence of his loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Hospice.
Frank was born on December 10, 1937 in Marquette, a son of the late Frank P. and Garnet (Inch) L’Huillier and was a lifelong Marquette resident.
He was employed by the Marquette Board of Light and Power as a plant operator for 37 years. In his free time, Frank enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Cook Lake with his family and grandchildren. Many happy moments were spent at the lake on the pontoon boat and 4-Wheeling.
He also was an avid fisherman and loved caring for his garden.
Frank enjoyed the company of his pets over many years especially his dog, Sophie.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, the former Judy Dubord; three children, Frank J. “Gus” L’Huillier, John (Kelly) L’Huillier and Teresa L’Huillier, all of Marquette; six grandchildren, Frankie L’Huillier, Joseph A. L’Huillier, Jr., Andrea Ann Ayotte, Randy Joe Ayotte, Chad Coller and Casey L’Huillier; one great granddaughter, Angelina L’Huillier; a sister, Mary Janet (Bob) McEachern of Marquette; one brother, Bill (Linda) L’Huillier of Green Bay, WI; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death besides his parents was a son, Joe A. L’Huillier on August 29, 1995.
A celebration of Frank’s life will take place on Thursday, July 4th at the family camp on Cook Lake.
