Students earn Superior Edge
MARQUETTE – Thirty-six Northern Michigan University students were recognized recently for completing all four edges of the Superior Edge program.
Local students who completed the program include: Anthony J. Labadie of Escanaba, Brandon A. Frazho of Gladstone, Amy Ellen and Allison Louise Testolin of Iron Mountain, Jennifer N. Hamberg of Ironwood, Brook Derusha of Newberry and Megan Ann LaRocque of St. Ignace.
Superior Edge focuses on four different components: citizenship, diversity, leadership and real-world experience. Each of the four “edges” involves 100 hours beyond normal degree requirements. Participants must also write a reaction paper and create an online portfolio. Those who put in the full 400 hours graduate with special honors for achieving the Superior Edge.
