Theodore W. Libick
MARQUETTE, Mich. – Theodore W. Libick, 86, of Gwinn, died Wednesday afternoon, May 15, 2013 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.
He was born February 18, 1927, in Marquette, a son of the late Michael and Esther Libick.
Ted was a WWII veteran and served in the US Navy.
He and his late wife were the proprietors of Helen’s Iron Skillet in Gwinn. Ted was also employed at and later owned Libick’s Body & Glass Shop, which was owned by his father in Marquette.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and an avid hunter & fisherman.
Ted is survived by two children, Robert Libick, Sr. of Big Bay and Cynthia Davis of Gwinn; grandchildren, Robert Libick, Jr., Kimberly Libick and Jade (William) Patton; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne Hartsell and Sally Tuch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Libick, his parents and several brothers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon in the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at Noon in the funeral home. Interment will take place in the West Branch Cemetery.
