Legion baseball: Marquette Blues doubleheader shortened

MARQUETTE – Snow spoiled a doubleheader for the Marquette Blues American Legion baseball team in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on Saturday.

The Blues dropped the first game against the Sault Canada Black Sox, 4-2, and led the Sox in the second game 4-2 with Ryan Walther on the mound before play was suspended.

In Game 1, the Blues out hit the Sault 7-3. Hunter Larson was 2 for 2 with a run scored.

Luke Swajanen took the loss after striking out four and walking seven.

The Blues are scheduled to host Kingsford today in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m., weather permitting.
