Jack’s I wins Division I men’s pool title

In the final week of league tournament play, Jack’s I defeated Jack’s II in overtime, 4-2, in Division I.

In Division II, Wayside bumped Paradise, 15-9.

Standings for the year:

Division I – Jack’s I took first place in both rounds 1 and 2. It also captured the tourney title. Rumorz III took second place in the first round and third in round II; Hickey’s I claimed second place in round 2; and Jack’s II finished third in round 1 and second in the tournament.

Division II – Rumorz II took top honors in round 2, while Jack’s III placed second. Wayside captured first in tournament play, while Paradise came in second.

Ishpeming Women’s

Jack’s I defeated Jack’s III in the playoffs on April 23 to set up a matchup of Jack’s I vs. Hickey’s I for the championship. Jack’s III finished in third place.


In week 31 results: Cascade Inn II crushed Jack’s, 13-2; Full Throttle thumped Happy Hour II, 12-3; Sturgis II dumped American Legion II, 10-5; and American Legion downed Up North Lodge, 10-5.

Also, Happy Hour beat Full Throttle II, 9-6; Cascade Inn III stopped VFW, 9-6; Fat Boyz defeated Sturgis, 9-6; and Cascade Inn toppled Crossroads, 9-6.

A table run was turned in by Justin Jonas.

In week 32 results, Jack’s Hideaway II pounded Full Throttle Bar n Grill, 13-2; Sturgis Saloon II thumped Cascade Inn III, 11-4; Crossroads Bar hammered VFW, 11-4; and Cascade Inn II dumped American Legion, 11-4.

Also, Cascade Inn doubled up Fat Boyz, 10-5; as did Happy Hour II over Happy Hour; Jack’s Hideaway edged Full Throttle II, 9-6; and Up North Lodge beat Sturgis Saloon, 8-7.

Matt Winfield ran a table for one in the win column.

Marquette Women’s

In play as of April 29, Blue Lounge dumped Remie’s, 6-3; Pat’s vs. the Dry Dock Devils, no score; Wooden Nickel II clubbed Longshot I, 7-2; Dry Dock thumped Wahlstrom’s, 6-3; and 3rd Base I edged Fat Boyz I, 5-4.

Also, Longshot II trimmed Wooden Nickel I, 5-4; Fat Boyz II whipped 3rd Base II, 7-2; and Remie’s Roses drew a bye.
