Lindala to speak on native diet
GWINN – The Forsyth Township Historical Society will present “Transformative History, One Bite at a Time” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gwinn High School library. Guest speaker April Lindala, director of Northern Michigan University’s Center for Native American Studies, will discuss the diet of regional Native Americans prior to the appearance of Europeans in the 1600s.
Admission is free for Society members and students, $2 for others. Refreshments will be served.
This will be the annual meeting of the Historical Society, with a very brief meeting to elect members to the board of trustees prior to the program.
