Prep track: Meyer leads Ishpeming in Kingsford triangular

KINGSFORD – Nate Meyer won one event and placed second in two others, but it couldn’t keep the Ishpeming High School boys track team from finishing third in Kingsford on Tuesday.

Meyer claimed the 200-meter dash in 24.52 seconds as the Hematites scored 38 team points. Kingsford won the meet with 84, while Escanaba placed second with 52.

Meyer also finished second in the 100 dash and 400 dash.

Also taking second for the Hematites were Brad Wootke in the shot put, Bobby Zhulkie in the high jump, Noah Olgren in the pole vault and Adam Prisk in the long jump.
