NMU Symphonic Band to perform

MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University Symphonic Band will perform at 3 p.m Sunday in Reynolds Recital Hall. This is a free, public concert.

The program will include a variety of modern and classical compositions. Jacob Barnby, a music education major, will be the euphonium soloist in “Rhapsody for Euphonium and Concert Band” by James Curnow. Barnby recently was selected as the first-chair euphonium player in the National Intercollegiate Band, which performed at the College Band Director’s Conference in Greensboro, N.C.
