Negaunee trails 18-14 at halftime of MHSAA state semifinal

EAST LANSING – The Negaunee High School boys basketball team trails Laingsburg, 18-14, at halftime in the MHSAA Class C state semifinal game at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

The Miners trailed the Wolfpack after the first quarter, 9-6.

Junior guard Eric Lori leads Negaunee in scoring with six points off of two 3-pointers. Junior guard Tyler Jandron has two points and three rebounds.

The winner faces defending Class C champion Flint Beecher at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday for the state title. Beecher defeated Monroe St. Mary 73-55 in the first semifinal to improve to 26-1.
