James Robert Darnton II

TUCSON, Ariz. – James Robert Darnton II 10/1/1943 – 3/13/2013

Jim passed peacefully to his next adventure from Peppi’s House, in the loving hands of Carondelet Hospice staff at the Tucson Arizona Medical Center after a four-year illness.

Preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Smith Darnton; Survived by his wife Frances Mullendore Darnton; his father Chester John Darnton; and his brother J Michael (Ann Rodman) Darnton.

He graduated from Northern Michigan University and worked at the PBS-TV Station for several years. He was a U.S. Navy photographer while he served in the Philippines; medical photographer at the University of Arizona Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson; technical photographer for medical textbooks; art photographer exhibiting in galleries and publications; news photographer, videographer and cinematographer for PBS; and more. He ended his career as a computer systems analyst with Raytheon Missiles System and Computer Sciences Corporation.

He wanted to leave his remains to Life Legacy for science and research. His wish was granted.
