Wolves aren’t pets
To the Journal editor:
I’m only a visitor to your lovely city and area but I can’t help but wonder why there is so much ugly discourse about the state of wolves in the woods.
Wolves are wild animals, not pets. I certainly don’t advocate an open season on them but people shouldn’t mistake them for domesticated animals because they aren’t.
Treat them with respect, I’d say, but treat them for what they are: wild animals that can and sometimes do pose a hazzard to people and property.
