Thanks, gov!

To the Journal editor:

In response to the governor’s action concerning the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community (gas station), it’s interesting to note that coincidentally the price of gas in Marquette jumped 17 cents the next day.

It’s like the gas station owners were getting back at the residents of Marquette for supporting KBIC. One thing that hasn’t really been pointed out in this whole thing is the actual location of the proposed station.

Its basically in the middle of the corridor into Marquette. By the time people from either end coming onto town get there they will have passed several stations already. If someone needs gas I doubt seriously if they will wait to get to the KBIC station.

Somehow, the stations in Baraga have held on despite the Pines being there, the same will be true here.
