Award designers sought
MARQUETTE – The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center announces its 2013 Marquette County Annual Arts Awards call for award design proposals. The artist selected to complete this project will be required to create one award for each of the 10 award categories. The stipend for the creation of the awards is $600. This payment is all inclusive of material, time, and transportation costs. To be considered to make the award, artists are asked to submit the following: Artist resume; application form attached; project proposal (one page maximum); project proposal images (up to six).
Submission deadline is Feb. 6. Failure to abide by the following criteria will result in immediate disqualification. Submissions will be based on feasibility of proposed award; quality of award idea; design/images showing understanding of Award Design Criteria (including awardee recognition).
Award decisions will be made Feb. 14; Awardees decision will be made Feb. 20; Awards will be delivered to the Art Center April 11; The Annual Arts Award Recognition Ceremony will take place April 19.
