Lucile Jean Mager Quayle
ISHPEMING, Mich. – Lucile Jean Mager Quayle, 72, of Ishpeming, passed away Sunday morning, January 6, 2013 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.
She was born August 27, 1940 in Trout Creek, MI and daughter of the late Kenneth and Norma Ball.
Jean married James “Chirp” Quayle in October of 1996.
She worked as a manager at a number of area stores and was one of the founding members of women’s horseshoe league.
Jean is survived by her husband, James “Chirp” Quayle of Ishpeming; sons, James (Lynne) Mager of Harvey, Jeff (Lydia) Mager of California and Calvin (Mona) Mager of Ishpeming; daughters, Judy (Mark) Krause of Houston, TX and Doreen (Kip) Shelley of Champion; step-daughter, Faye (Tony) Pietrangelo; brothers, Thomas (Diane) Ball of Negaunee, Raymond (Kay) Ball of Negaunee and Patrick (Sandy) Ball of Ishpeming; a sister, Margie Blake of Iowa; sister’s-in-law, Ruby Forchini and Marilyn Mager. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Mager.
Jean’s family would like to say thank you to her granddaughter, Tania for the extra special care, UP Home Health & Hospice and the staff at Eastwood Nursing Center.
A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Racine Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will be held in the Negaunee Cemetery in the spring. Family & friends are invited to a luncheon at the Highrise in Ishpeming following the service.
